Makeni Models Union officially launched its first clothing brand and unveiled its models to the public. The gathering drew a good number of young people, creatives and community members who came out to support the growing modeling and fashion scene in the city.
The unveiling introduced the union’s identity and message, built around the slogan “Na Wan Makeni We Get Le, We Ol Am Fine.” The message encourages people to take pride in Makeni and work together to promote the city in a positive way. It also highlights unity, creativity and local talent, while showing that Makeni is a place where young people can express themselves through fashion, modeling and other creative arts.

During the program, members of the Makeni Models Union presented their models and shared their vision for the initiative. The event was more than just a showcase of models as it also served as a way of calling on the community to support local talent and help grow the creative industry in the city.
People described the event as a proud moment for the fashion and modeling sector in northern Sierra Leone. Bringing together models, supporters and members of the public in such a central space also showed how youth creativity and fashion are gradually becoming part of the identity and culture of Makeni.
In all, the brand and models unveiling by the Makeni Models Union showed a clear commitment to celebrating Makeni, supporting young creatives and promoting a positive image of the city through talent, unity and collaboration.
